Do you know which links to share to promote your course?
You can build an entire website with Teachable—including a homepage and sales pages for each of your products. But if you're not tech-savvy, it can be confusing to know which pages to share when it's time to promote your course.
By the end of this post, you'll know which links to share with prospective students and where to find those links in your Teachable admin area.
Let's get started!

Option #1: Share your homepage
Find it: Open your Teachable school > Site > Pages
Your homepage is what visitors see when they first land on your school. It usually contains a welcome message and some links to find out more about your various products.
When to share your Teachable homepage
You'd share this page if you'd like visitors to understand a little bit about your school before clicking through to a specific product's sales page.
How to find your homepage link
This is a site page rather than a product-specific page, so you'll find it in Site > Pages. Unless you've renamed it, it will appear in your list of pages as Homepage. Click the three dots on the right of the homepage, then click Copy URL Link.
Once you've copied it, it's on your clipboard ready to be pasted and shared with prospective students!

Option #2: Share your course sales page
Find it: Open your Teachable school > Courses > [Course name] > Sales pages
Every product on Teachable has a sales page attached to it. It usually contains specific information about that product, like the course curriculum and pricing. Its main purpose is to persuade people to buy that product by clicking through to the checkout.
When to share your course sales page
You'd share your sales page link if you want to send a visitor directly to the information for that product. Often, that's because you know they'll be interested in this specific product, rather than other products that might appear on your school.
How to find your sales page link
You'll find your sales page inside your course in your admin area. Go to Courses then click on the name of your course. Click Sales pages in the sidebar. Your sales page is the first one on this page. Click the three dots next to your sales page, then click Copy URL Link.
Once you've copied it, it's on your clipboard ready to be pasted and shared with prospective students!

Hiring a sales page copywriter
Since sales pages are so important to your marketing, course creators often hire a sales page copywriter to make sure it persuades students to buy.
Option #3: Share a checkout link
Find it: Open your Teachable school > Courses > [Course name] > Pricing
When you create a pricing plan for your course, you're also creating a checkout link for that pricing plan. These checkout links take visitors straight to the payment page to purchase a specific product.
When to share a checkout link
You'd share a checkout link with someone who doesn't need persuading to join your course. This might be someone you've already had a sales call or meeting with. You might also link to your checkout if you're hosting a sales page outside of Teachable.
How to find your checkout page link
You'll find your checkout links inside the Pricing section of each course. Go to Courses then click on the name of your course. Click Pricing in the sidebar, then click Copy URL for whichever pricing plan you'd like to share.
Once you've copied it, it's on your clipboard. When you share this with someone, they'll be taken to the checkout with that pricing plan added to their order.

Option #4: Share a discounted sales page
Find it: Open your Teachable school > Courses > [Course name] > Coupons
If you've created a coupon for your product, you can share your sales page with that discount already applied. This means that when your visitor sees the price or clicks through to the checkout, they'll see the discounted price without needing to add the coupon code themselves.
When to share a discounted sales page link
You might want to share a discounted link if you're running a promotion for a specific product. For example, if you're running launch discount for the first 10 people, you could email your list with a sales page that has the coupon applied.
How to find your discounted sales page link
You'll find your discounted sales page links inside the Coupons section of each course. In your admin area, go to Courses then click on the name of your course. Click Coupons in the sidebar, then click eye icon next to the coupon you'd like to use.
A new tab will open up and you'll see your course sales page, but you should notice that the discount has been applied to any pricing blocks on the page.
Copy the URL from your address bar and share this link with prospective students. They'll land on this version of your sales page where the coupon code has already been applied.

(These are example links. They won't work if you click on them.)
Option #5: Share a discounted checkout
Find it: Open your Teachable school > Courses > [Course name] > Pricing + Coupons
Just like the previous option, you can also apply a coupon to a checkout link automatically so that visitors don't need to type in the coupon code themselves.
When to share a discounted checkout link
You might want to use this option if you're offering a discount to someone who doesn't need persuading to buy your course. They don't need to see your sales page, but you do want to give them a coupon code before they join.
How to create a discounted checkout link
This option is a little trickier because you'll need to construct the link yourself.
First, grab your checkout link. Go to Courses then click on the name of your course. Click Pricing in the sidebar, then click Copy URL for the pricing plan you'd like to use.
Then go to Coupons in the sidebar and make a note of the coupon code you'd like to apply to the checkout. Then we're going to join these two pieces together like this:
[your-checkout-url]
&coupon_code=[your-coupon-code]
If you share that link with someone, they'll land on your checkout for the pricing plan you chose, but the coupon code will already be applied.
